Keiji Ashizawa

Keiji Ashizawa graduated from the Department of Architecture, Yokohama National University in 1996. He started his career as an architect at architecture WORKSHOP, and after two years of furniture production at super robot, a hardware furniture production studio, he established Keiji Ashizawa Architects in 2005. In addition, following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, he established Ishinomaki Kobo, a public workshop that supports the independence of local communities. In 2014, Ishinomaki Kobo was incorporated as a furniture brand. In addition to architecture and interiors, he is active in a wide range of fields.

His works are produced from the philosophy “Honest Design”, which is consistent from architecture and renovation to lighting and furniture design, are highly evaluated both at home and abroad.
