Franco Albini and Franca Helg were Italian designers during the 20th century. They were famous for combining traditional Italian craftmanship with modern minimalistic design.

Franco Albini won three Compasso D’Oro awards, the most prestigious Italian design prize, on its own. Later, he met the talented Franca Helg and they decided to do business together.

They chose not only to design furniture, but also to be architects in industrial design namely. They used the new forms of modernism in many of their creations.
