A unique space surrounded by Arita porcelain with the concept of “becoming a place for you to return”. The Dutch East India Company played a big part in the development of Arita porcelain, which is why the word ‘huis’ is used. The Dutch influence can also be found in the windmill inspired logo.

Inspired by traditional Scandinavian armchairs, the Holm chair by Staffan Holm combines a robust construction and a high level of comfort. The levitating feeling of the seat gives this chair a light feeling and a friendly appearance that blends well in any environment. Holm has placed great attention on the connection detail between the armrest and the legs of the chair.

According to Staffan Holm the dovetail joint is still the
most beautiful joint and this stool is his way of celebrating it. He chose to make the seat slightly curved to give a higher comfort.

Ariake is a furniture brand founded by Legnatex and Hirata Chair. Every piece is created with the thought that furniture is made for social situations where people live, work and eat together. The creation of the Ariake brand and furniture designs were a result of that thought process. To create a collective energy and mutual trust, everyone involved lived, worked and ate together during two intensive workshops in Morodomi.
