Meta Parallel is a collection of light sculptures that showcase suspended volcanic rocks in a unique and visually striking way. The collection is both aesthetically daring and poetic, as it explores the interplay between the ruggedness of the rocks and the beauty of geometry. The sculptures achieve an unexpected balance between the natural porosity of the stones and the industrial process used to create them. Each individual object is shaped by an abstract visual concept and exhibits elegant symmetry. Overall, Meta Parallel is a thought-provoking and visually stunning representation of the intersection between art, nature, and industrial design.

Description

Studio David Pompa –Meta Parallel arrangement 05 – LES VRAIS

Meta Parallel arrangement 05 suspends its elements in a horizontal plane. Thus, the metal element becomes a new visual object that reinforces balance and tension.

Enclosed volcanic stones placed at a defined distance are much more than the sum of their parts.

Hence, the canopy starts a conversation between function and aesthetics, creating a unique integrated piece.

The Meta Parallel lamps are defined by their elegant, minimalist form that reinforces the visual interplay of balance and tension.

The Meta Parallel brass uses volcanic rock and powder coated black, a light gray natural stone quarried in Puebla, Mexico, like the Meta Parallel White, while Meta Parallel black uses Recinto,

also known as volcanic rock, for the columns.

Both materials give the lighting a natural, porous texture that’s understatedly luxe.

additionally, multiple Meta Parallel lamps can be combined to create an installation-like sculpture

you can see other exemple as presented below.
